“As a movement artist in my 30’s, I feel mindful practice is the pivotal difference between inconsistency and certainty.”

I offer both group and private instruction in the following:

Creative movement

Inspired by Gaga technique and movement theorists such as Erik Franklin and Irmgard Bartenieff; this class explores the deepest, simplest concepts of movement. Utilizing a less is more philosophy and descriptive imagery for textural cues for the body; one can learn to understand and feel the skeletal muscles to better support the bones and joints. The goal for this class is to gradually build neuromuscular connectivity and motor control skills using a more playful, nonjudgmental approach.

Restorative Yoga

Implementing lots of spinal yoga postures and low impact core strengthening, this class can bring balance and energy back to the body to help get rid of toxins, relax the mind, increase metabolism and improve sleep patterns!

Mobility/ Flexibility

If you’re experiencing neck and/or back pain, or if you’re trying to increase your range in motion for funzies; here’s a great place to start! This curriculum is formulated to help discover where you are muscularly imbalanced, and how to correct it. Using all forms of flexibility training, one can train the muscles to release, and the bones will naturally realign themselves over time and operate more collectively while supported by the muscles. This class uses elements of dance, yoga, Pilates, martial arts and contortion techniques.

Somatic Exercise

Often paired with Mobility/Therapeutic Flexibility; Neuromuscular connectivity is KEY to correcting muscular imbalances and finding your core center. In this class, you’ll learn to bridge the gap between your brain and the areas of your body you don’t yet know how to control. It’s an elevated level of personal training that can refine your athletic foundation, improve posture, and help manage pain.

Body Alignment

The baseline of all movement practices; body alignment is the most important factor of one’s athletic journey! In this brief assessment class, you’ll learn where your body is “off-center”, and what the next step should be to help manage or correct it. It will not be a medical diagnosis, but a recommendation in order to proceed with foundational activity.

Body Rolling/personal massage

In addition to flexibility and mobility training, massage therapy has many benefits! This course will teach multiple different techniques in myofascial release, acupressure, and foam rolling to release the muscles in a deeper more manual way. WARNING: MYOFASCIAL RELEASE FEELS LIKE DEEP TISSUE. NOT RECOMMENDED IF YOUR MUSCLES ARE TENDER.
